I’ll tell you what I think about outcasts.Because I am a bit of an outcast myself. So,this will be an
opinion from the inside. And you want to
have a bigger perspective, don’t you? In order to have it, you need to know what is going in there.
First of all, if you look in the dictionary, you will find many terms which are meant to define an outcast. Many, which I consider to be wrong, except from one: wanderer. This is one beautiful word . Touches me to the core of my being. It carries so many stories, of people who have chosen to live their life the way they do. They are not "rejected or excluded from a social group" , "vagabonds" , they just don’t belong to something specific. And they don’t want to. Because if you take this away from them, their wanderings, you take everything they are and they have.
Secondly, not all of them are bad, evil, as they want us to believe. Evil is relative. You can never be good or evil to the point of no returning. Our hearts work like a compass. You look for north, it will show you where the north is. You look for the south, it will show you which road gets you there. In any case, we decide what to do. Most of the time, we fill our hearts with evil, BECAUSE we are confused and doing bad it’s the easiest way of not getting hurt. .
Also, confusion can come in many shapes. Another one could be a far too sensitive soul. And if one does not know how to control destructive emotions, they will lead him/her to a dangerous path which will only harm the person who puts willingly his/her foot on it.
I’ve met people proud of being outcasts, getting the best out of their true nature, living fearlessly and happy. And I’ve also seen the dark side. People who can't make peace with who they are, afraid of what others would think about them, scared of being left out, the sensitive souls, as I called them before . I think you can never be left out, abandoned, forgotten, (you choose, reader) if YOU truly believe you deserve the life your soul demands it. But, if you have doubts, confusion will find its way to you. And then sadness. And then remorse. And the black list can continue. But not here.
Here, I’m trying to point out something, which is this: an outcast will be unhappy only by choice. An outcast is a free bird, in fact, and I like to think of’free birds as creatures who can never be caught . And if you manage to never get caught and wander from place to place, like your soul asks you to, then you must be happy
.I hope you are.
